Living
Trusts vs. Wills
Considering
an estate plan for you or your family? Consider a Living Trust. A Living
Trust will handle most, if not all, situations that might arise upon a
person's disability or death. A Living Trust can also save probate costs,
estate taxes, time and inconvenience for your loved ones. Though more
expensive then a will, Living Trusts can save your estate more money in
the long run and give you peace of mind. Call for an in depth estate plan
consultation to see what is best for you or your family!
Dissolutions
Though not always possible, mediation or other strategies may be used
to eliminate the stress and expense of a litigated divorce. I have often
assisted both spouses in a divorce to eliminate the need for two attorneys
and have attempted various negotiation strategies to avoid the need for
court appearances and lengthy battles.
Starting
a Business?
Interested in starting a business but not quite sure how to begin? Issues
exist pertaining to type of entity, tax considerations, legal requirements,
filing requirements, etc. A good place for information is the Small Business
Administration or you can see me for an initial consultation to get the
information that you need to make that dream a success!
DUIs
What do you do if you get arrested while driving under the influence of
alcohol? Your options depend on the circumstances and the amount of alcohol
found in your system. Depending on the circumstances, you may lose your
driver's license. I can advise you whether it is worth having an attorney
or whether you can go to court yourself.
Want
to Try it Yourself?
Some legal matters can be handled on your own while many require the assistance
of an attorney. If you first want to investigate a legal matter yourself,
consult my legal links page, where you will find valuable legal links
to get you the information and forms that you need. Also, visit my other
website, www.SanFranciscoLawyer.net,
where you can download or printout most judicial council forms for free.
Nolo Press also publishes an excellent series of self-help legal books
in many subjects. I often help people to accomplish legal tasks on their
own by reviewing material they have prepared or answering questions that
may arise along the way.
