Achievements Peter L. Balogh has a broad background in transactional work and civil litigation. Mr. Balogh has completed the sale of numerous businesses including restaurants, pet stores, an eyeglass shop, and a video shop. Mr. Balogh has formed corporations and partnerships and has produced numerous estate plans for individuals and families including wills and living trusts. Mr. Balogh has also handled the sale of properties from beginning to end and has negotiated and drafted a great diversity of leases, deeds and contracts. In litigation, Mr. Balogh has had successes in two major sexual harassment cases, one involving the City of San Francisco. Mr. Balogh has obtained a Writ of Mandate against the State of California in a Fish & Game matter. Other successes include a major environmental case against a steel foundry, several cases involving personal injuries, some against cities, landlord-tenant cases including litigated rent control matters, real property (breach of real estate contracts) and business matters (breach of contract, partnerships). Mr. Balogh has handled Will Contests. Criminal matters have included drug matters, domestic violence, DUIs, assault and battery, hit and run, traffic, and fish and game matters. Mr. Balogh has completed at least 30 dissolutions, some involving significant assets and complex custody and visitation matters. Mr. Balogh has also advised the successful 1992 Pacifica City Council Recall Campaign.
